Is it normal for my toadstool  to keep retracting its polyps? It retracts them on and off all day long. All my parameters are good and it looks healthy other than the polyps keep retracting. It hasnt done this the whole time either. It has only started in like the last week.

Is there a fish picking on it? Something else might be causing it is high alkalinity. IME, I have noted that mine does not like it when my tank is above 9dkh. It did much better around 7-8dkh.

I have been doing some reading, I'm hoping that it is just that it may be shedding its skin. My alk is looking good though, it is at 2.5, I am going to add some buffer to get it back up to 3.

Well, last night I added a power head for more flow and it seems to have worked. The polyps when I got off work today had full expansion! The only problem is that it is pushing my finger leather over a little side ways. But the finger leather still has all of its polyps out. What does everyone else think? Problem fixed or new problem arose with finger?
