GIRS March Photo Contest.

    Hi everyone
    On March 1st we will begin our March Photo contest.
    Please be sure to read the rules in the sticky topic in this forum.
    This Thread will be used to discuss the contest, entries and the photographers. We are looking forward to a great contest!
    The Theme for this contest is: "Your Favorite Coral"
    Here are the Details...
    GIRS March Photo Contest...
    Enter up to 3 photos of your favorite corals.
    Entries can be made up to 11:59pm on March 20th.
    Voting begins at Midnight on March 20th and runs until 11:59pm on March 29th.
    Once voting begins you may vote for as many entries as you like, but you can only vote for an entry one time.
    The winner will be displayed with the vote counts once the voting period is over.
    The winner will receive a $25.00 Gift Certificate to Dr. Fosters and Smith from GIRS.
    To
    celebrate the kickoff  of our photo contest, our President Billy
    Greenlee has also Donated an additional $25.00 Gift Certificate to Dr.
    Fosters and Smith for this first contest.
    So the winner is going
    to get 50 smackers to use for whatever they want from Dr. Fosters and
    Smith's website, and Most importantly........Braggiing rights!
    To Access the contest go to the COMMUNITY tab on our website and select "GIRS Contests" There you will find the contest module with Current, future and past contests.

    hopper....Both pics look nice...Good job on the depth of field.
    Focus looks dead on also.
    Remember you can enter 3 photos .....so go get another!

    No one else has any comments on the 5 entries we have in the constest so far?

    We still have room for more entries, C'mon and get those cameras to work!
    We are talking 50.00 and bragging rights here!

    Hey we have a few weeks yet. I am going to really try to work on some good ones. That is if you reef Trakker testers give me any time. [​IMG]
    Great pics so far folks. Have to admit I think I am partial to the Rainbow Monti so far. I get mine Thursday. ;0)

    Yes, great pictures everyone.  I hope to have some time to practice some of Bill's photo tips now that I have a few days off work.  I think this is a great idea, btw, and I know it took a lot of work and time on your part Bill.  Thanks for trying to teach and inspire us all to be better photo takers!

    That Bonsia is looking sweet..!
    I think I mught have those same zoos in the actinic shot.

    It looks like you have some nice shrooms going on there...
    Are those yellow anemonies to the right of that orange shroom? or are they polyps of some kind?

    I see there's a non-coral entered, a feather duster; I thought it was your favorite coral? Or is it just your favorite tank inhabitant? It's a nice picture at any rate /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

    Lol, just keeping you honest /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif  And besides that, it was too good a photo, and with it gone, my chances are a bit better /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

    I will be picking my favorite coral up tonight...once he is open and showing himself off, I will be shooting some pics to enter into the contest. I'm so excited!
