    Looks nicely built.

Is that an 8" main chamber?

Looks like a healthy froth in there.

    THanks all

the Sedra 9000HO is supposed to pull 1100 lp/h air.

I dont know what its actually pulling but that chamber is packed with bubbles/froth.

Here are some additional pics from the unpacking and assembly...

I like that design, Who's it built by?
One thing that I noticed and I could be wrong, but check your collection cup lid You may have it upside down? Not that it would hurt any thing but could hinder your foam from rolling into your cup.
Let us see that gunk once she's broke in!!

Nice looking skimmer man, it does look like its built very well indeed.

I would say that the lid on you collection cup is on the correct way, the lid on my octo has the same kind of ring on the lid, i believe its there to help support the the column of froth before it rolls into the cup, therefore creating a dryer skimate.

Collection cup lid looks right to me.... Inner ring is typically a baffle that I believe is used to force the foam to the outside, away from the neck. That way the foam stack does not jam up in the neck.
Very nice looking skimmer there Bill!!! I bet once that sucker gets tuned in you will be able to skim the scales off your fish... [IMG]

Huh, I don't know how I missed Jeremy's post, but I would go with his answer and leave the lid alone...

its most likely upside down...that is not a ring that you see its a straigh blade...most likely a handle.
They packaed it that way and I didnt think about it and never took the lid off. I am sure they turned it around so it couldnt get broken off...
