   You may want to consider suspending you lamp using ceiling anchors.
   The legs make the unit sit about 6 inches off of the tank.
   This makes it extremely difficult to to maintenance work in your tank.
   Also the lens covers tend to get a lot of salt build-up on them, reducing the light emitted.
   I had mine sitting on legs for about a year. 
   I then suspended it from the ceiling, I love it.
   I can sit it as high or low as I like, really is a big improvement.
