    I think the largest heater I've seen was 350 watts..... do they make them any bigger than that for the average hobbyist? Usually people will just have a couple 300 watt heaters and that's in a big tank. What are you looking to heat?

    you can buy heaters up to 1000 watts

    I'm sure they're out there, just wondering if they're very common or for the average hobbyist?

    Right now im running 3- 300 watt hagen and i cant get my temp over 75 and at night it falls to about 73-74

    Oh, Hagen, I think the brand is just cheap....... your tank is in a basement?

    yeah, in the basement and cheap heaters. There are so many theories about heating I didnt really research the subject enough. I was going to put the hagens in my ro tank 125g? I guess that im looking 4 a 1000-1500watt genx or hon heater

    My 125 is also located in my basement.  I use (1) Marineland Stealth 300 watt heater and it keeps my tank at 79-80 easily.

    Not bad heaters, bad coralife thermometer! now i dont need heaters i need pinpoint meters!!!
