    man if ya had a basment that you could put like one of them obove ground pools like a doboy that would be sweet my mom and dad has one of them heaters that goes to one of them you would need a big basment for one but that would be idea to use one of them

    cool idea, but I would still want some way to view it from the side. Top down just wouldn't cut it for me.

    ya very true dont know if ya could cut windows in it and use acrylic or not

    A guy that owns a pet store here in my town said he used to have one made out of plywood and pond liner, with a glass window in the side. I think he said it was 600 gallons or so, and he had a couple sharks in it. With something like that I think you would get major moisture and mold problems though.

    The fact that is sits in the floor is what makes it unique. There are plenty of indoor saltwater ponds but none I have seen like this.

    There is a guy that stopped in the store the other day that said they had two 500 gallon salt ponds in their basement

    There used to be a LFS here in town that had a SW tank in a hot tub. It was pretty neat.
