I am in search of some new actinic bulbs for my tank.  I currently have sunpac bulbs dual actinic.  If I would go to ONE Spectrum of actinic which in everyones words would be the best choice 420 or 460?

420 is barely noticable if you ask me, most people who see a dual 420/460 bulb think their bulb is broke or one side is burnt out.

for looks i go with the 460s. i guess if you wanted whats best for your corals, you would need to look what part of the reef they come from and find out what color of the spectrum is down there.

420s are worthless for adding any color to your tank when your running halides as far as im concerned, no intensity at all, halides drown them out.

I would have to agree with that the 460's are the way to go
