I need to buy check valves for normal white PVC?  I looked at mernards and they have one for 3/4 inch pvc but it haves metal parts insides of it.  That won't last long correct?

I bought my 2" check valve from menards...it had a plastic flapper in it with some type of silicone sealing ring. Worked great for me...as far as certain sizes i'm not familiar with everything they carry but I know you can find them much cheaper at stores online.

IMO it is best to design your plumbing so you don't need a check valve. Not only do check valves restrict flow they eventually WILL FAIL unless some type of general maintenance is done on them periodically.

If it were me I would re-think and implement a siphon break or a stand pipe. There's always a better way than using a check valve.

Waverz, could you sketch up a design that your talking about?  I am new to this and I am not sure what you mean.  I would love to see how yours looks.
    THanks
