I am getting a new tank set up, after being out of the hobby for over 10 years.

It's only a 12 gallon tank, and a majority of my rock will be dry rock, but I am looking for a source of high quality, pest free live rock. I already have a plan to get some rubble from a local member, but that's more for a bacteria source.

Given the size of my tank, I am going to put significant effort into preventing pests. No aiptaisa, majanos, caulerpa, etc.

I haven't been to the local fish stores in Des Moines for a couple years, but after driving around yesterday, it doesn't seem like there are going to be any pest free sources locally. Is there an aquarium store I should visit?

If there isn't a local source, what website is the best these days?

Have you considered any of the bacteria culture/cycling solutions available?...or live sand can be used to help seed an aquarium.
I'm getting ready to set up a new tank and ordered some MicroBacter7 to try with dry rock and dry sand.

I am planning on the bottled stuff and live sand, but I'm hoping for some bacteria diversity by adding a bit of live rock as well.
