Just wondering what everyone thinks is best for cleaning the inside of your aquarium - glass.  I've always used the Mag-float.  Replaced the felt pads about a year ago - and it was like brand new again.  Now, its quite a bit less effective.  Was wondering if anyone has any experience with other algae scrapers, or the Mag-flip or the 'Easy Blade' that you can add to one of the magnetic scrapers (i.e. the Mag-float 350).  Currently I'm using the mag-float 125.

This is also what I use. I have been really happy with it. Plus it is safe on acrylic. I haven't had to battle any coralline yet, but I think if I am diligent withdoing a quick swipe of the glass every day I won't have TOO much to worry about.

Anybody else with input?????  We're organizing a BRS order next week -
and it would be a great opportunity for me to get a Hammerhead.  Also -
I've only got a 75 gallon (with hopes someday to move to a 125 gal -
but space is an issue).  Would I need the Hammerhead - or would the
Piranha be just as well???  Also I'm thinking of the Easy blade
attachment.  Anyone using that???  Waverz - is that what you are using when you said that you use a 4" razor blade?  If not, where do you get that large of a razor blade??

    Jeanette,
If it helps, the two you are looking at have the exact same cleaning area. The only difference is the strength of the magnets. in My acrylic 150 the magnet doesn;t feel SUPER strong on the hammerhead. Sufficient, but easy to move. If I had the pirahna, I don't think it would stick at all.

Oh, and I need some carbon from BRS. Hopefully others do to so we can get some bulk discount /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/biggrin.gif

I agree the Mag Floats are awesome at first, and stay awesome for a fw aquarium, but sw aquarium gunk that grows on the tank is much tougher and the mag floats can only get about half of it. For really tough stuff, a simple razor blade works well, like Waverz suggested. I also like using any sort of spongy material to run along the edges of the tank to get the gunk off but not tearing up the silicone

This is pretty impressive and you could just glue it onto your own magnetic cleaner...you wouldn't have to buy their magnet.
BRS carries them so anyone orders from BRS i would like to order 1 and a package of blades.

Thanks for the responses.  I'll be ordering from BRS this week, and am strongly considering the piranha.  I saw the hammerhead on Saturday at Sone's place on our tank tour.  The magnet seemed to me too strong for my liking - too much effort to move the magnet.  Might also get the easy blade.
