In the past I have used the Krylon Fusion spray paint. It comes in a few different colors and has a little bit of a rock-like texture. You need to make sure you let it dry/cure so that it is safe.

Yep kyrlon works awesome. Let it cure for a few days and the paint will bond with the pvc. Then it will stay scratch resistent if you don't wait it will peel off after a few months.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't think pvc would take paint at all.
