What are these on my live rock?

    I searched around at the different critters on LR but didn't find these little buggers.  They are tiny.  About the size of a pen tip.  There are a few clusters of them on two of the rocks I received from Florida.

    Im gonna guess but to me they look like barnacles.

    Oh, maybe little tiny baby barnacles? The others I have are quite a bit larger and you can easily see the cilia or hairs coming out to grab food.

    yeah but i could be totally wrong. Thats just what they look like to me.

    I'd agree that they are barnacles.

    Are they soft or hard? Barnacle are hard. Could be a type of tunicate or sea squirt- they are soft.

    Soft... I don't think they are barnacles, they are far too small. I have several barnacles on my rocks.. nothing this tiny.
