    Sure,

What is your alk & calc now? If you raise one, you might hurt the other.

I think the best way is with a water change. Freshly made water often has an ALK around 10.

This a two part mix that you can make to raise the alk or cal if one or the other gets out of wack. I used to use it, but really don't have a need anymore, but it does work good. One thing I won't use the dow flake for the cal. I would get all the stuff to make it at Bulk Reef Supply.com

The easiest & best way is to use kalkwasser.

However that is if the calc & alk is in balance. If alk is low & calc is high, then you have a different problem.

If you are having a problem with both you might also be deficient in magnesium.

I am sure Jeremy or Jason will chim in, they are the chemisty experts.

washing or baking? never heard of washing soda.......dont do the washing either though haha Baking soda becomes washing soda after you bake it.  You want to use washing soda because the CO2 is driven out after it has been baked.  It will not have a dramatic effect on your pH unlike regular baking soda.
