    Per this thread:

    http://www.greateriowareefsociety.org/Forums/tabid/78/aft/29916/Default.aspx

I am looking for volunteers to help me out with some transportation of water and whatever else you would like to help with this weekend. I will be spending pretty much all day on Saturday (early AM to ~4pm when they open) tearing down the existing system, replacing the filtration system, and building up the rock structure. I will need 100g of RODI transported from Matt Nelsen's house to Taki, which can be picked up as early as 10am and as late as 2pm, but preferrably as close to 10am as possible (no earlier). I will mix the salt in and heat it up while I am building the rock structure in the tank, which will take a few hours. Anyone can help with that also.

Then on Sunday, I will need 100g of SW transported (same time window). Sunday will involve draining the tank to add the sand, then re-filling and adding the 2nd 100g of SW, and adding the livestock. I am hoping that Sunday will not be quite as long of a day - mainly just acclimation time.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. As a bribe/thank you I would pop for covering a dinner around the hibachi for anyone that helps out. Heck maybe we could make it a spring dinner meeting or something.

I can help with the tear down stuff Sat and possibly Sunday. I'll admit I've never done anything like it, but I'm totally interested in the process. No bribe required. My cell is 306-4225 or you can PM or email me at rocketmann@me.com.

Awesome guys, thanks! Saturday is going to be the long day so that is when I will need the most help. Nik said he can move water on Sunday so I should have that covered. Sat I will need help bringing buckets and Brute cans of rocks up my stairs in my house in the early AM, around 8 or 9, then at the restaurant I would need someone to manage hose and buckets during draining/tear down.

After that, we can all figure out the rock stacking technique. This will be a learning experience for all including me!!

Paul if you can move all the water in one or even 2 trips that would be perfect. I don't care about temp of RODI, that's what heaters are for and I have a lot of those, but anyone feel free to bring any extras please if you have them.

Thanks for the help!! Onlookers are also welcome, I'm sure there will be something to do!

PS you need to go to the side door and knock, or knock on the front windows. Front door will be locked.

Loaded up with 20x brand new food grade white buckets and lids from Lowe's last night, as well as new totes and a clear bin for staging the rock stacking.

Started mixing up 90+ gal of SW for make-up water in temp tanks for pulling rocks out of current tanks and keeping them submerged for transport. Just checked salinity at 31 and tanks are at 33 (120) and 35 (40), bumped it up to 33 and we're good to go on that

Headed back to bed for an hour or so, if I can sleep

Big thanks to all that helped: pwfish, Fence13, rocketmann, tyler, and Eric. Couldn't have done it in the time frame allowed without all the help!!

Having many perspectives and opinions on the layout of the rock structure was great. Didn't end up using nearly as much of the Marco Mortar as I expected - but that stuff is fantastic, and sets up fast!

Also I know folks took pics - please e-mail or text them to me. PM me for that info (I don't post it on public forums)

    Tomorrow...fish and sand!

Right now, just Nick. I'll probably let him take the van to get the water from Matt while I work on the sump. But might go super early now to beat the weather. Which will mean it will be s non-event. If I wait until later, it will be snow-ice-mageddon

Thanks again Chris (Fence13) and Tyler (torino06) for fetching the saltwater yesterday, and to Nick for helping with the sand, fill, and stocking. It all went well until I fired up the pumps and found leaks, as well as discovered that my intake plumbing plenum had a flaw in the design that essentially airlocked the pumps, and they wouldn't start running.

Going to move over to the main thread from this point forward!
