check it out, about a month and a half old. it cycled in a couple days.
    how am I doing?
The current fish are a yellowtail blue damsel, yellow tang, coral beauty, and flame angel.
we also have various corals, 2 peppermint shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 1 sally lightfoot, 2 emerald crabs, 1 tiger pistol shrimp, various hermits and snails, 2 orange starfish, 1 chocolate chip starfish, a tube anemone, a sabae anemone (thanks to me taking horrible advice from a fish store I will not be returning to), 3 scallops, a brittle starfish... and probably one or two I forgot
I still plan to get a yellow watchman goby (to pair with my tiger pistol) , a pair of B&W clowns, and a longnose hawkfish
a few of my corals might look a bit off but this is because they are not getting all of my light due to a temporary eggcrate hood (had a jumper)

id think your tank is pretty young for starfish and chocolate chip ones are not reefsafe. what fish store did you go to and get this stuff from.
your tank looks good though just need to slow down only bad things happen quickly.

we picked up the vast majority from Anemones Clowns & corals. we got our rock there as well (about 75 LBS) which cycled our tank in 2 or 3 days (they have been awesome and a ton of help.)
the sabae and the fire shrimp came from Coralville bay (I am not a fan of that place due to the owner giving us bad advice saying a sabae was hardy)
the green polyps, which are recovering from being stung by my tube anemone, and the coral beauty came from Hung at Sea of marvels in North Liberty (great place with a very smart owner but he seems to think his way is the only way to do most things, I would go back though)
the yellow polyps came from Fish Shack in Manchester (not a fan and will not be going back after the cashier got an attitude and said something snotty when I was discussing with my GF and mother how to fit the 125 gal tank and stand we were buying in the van)
I was not aware about the chocolate chip starfish but if it becomes a problem I can quarantine it until we get the 125 FOWLR up and running

yeah just do some research before you purchase anything liveaquaria.com has a nice overview of everything when it comes to selecting livestock. might be a good time to check out your current stuff just so you have an idea of what to expect.

I have done research on most of the stuff. I just have yet to on a couple corals (going off of LFS advice on those) and the chocolate chip starfish which I just got yesterday.

    Looks nice!

I would advise that you prepare yourself for a possible bloom in your tank though. Even with good live rock, I'm not sure how your tank could have cycled in 2 or 3 days. Did you start it with all fresh-made saltwater or water from another tank?

If it does not happen, great! If it does, it is better to be prepared. As previously posted, slowing down is good advice, give things time to equal out and adjust to all the new life in the tank.

Oh and FYI, I have had issues in the past with angels (IE your coral beaty and flame angel) nipping at coral, keep a close eye on them : )

Algae bloom has already come and gone. My angels never nipped the coral. My coral beauty nips the flame angel.

The coral beauty likes to nip the flame angels tail and will be moved to the 125 fowlr when we get it set up.
