Very very important, venue change for Spring Fest

    Someone who is not a supporter of GIRS or our mission has attempted to sabotage Spring Fest this year.





    The school received an anonymous letter complaining about GIRS having Spring Fest at Central Campus. Unfortunately the school was put in a difficult position and had to cancel its involvement with Spring Fest.


    This is no way a reflection of the school or the Aquarium Sciences Program. We are disappointed that the school and its students will not be able to show of its hard work this weekend.


    We also need your support now more then ever! Please show your support of the club and our hobby by spreading the word on the venue change. We also need as many people as possible to attend the event to make it a success in the face of adversity.


    The event will now be held at the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines. It will be held at the Paul Knapp Animal Learning center near gate 15.

    The fest page has been updated. Registration will start at 11:30. There may possibly be access to the raffle area at that time also (not sure about that yet). The show floor will open at Noon.
