UV Sterilizers pros & cons

    Can any of you saltwater veterans give me your thoughts on UV Sterilizers?
    I've heard to only use in your quarintine tank, sould they be used in display tanks?
    Any help would be great.

    I run a Pentair Aquatics 40 watt UV on my 125. The only time I shut it off is if I add pythoplankon to the tank.

    P.S. I had bouts of ich before I got that UV and after I got the UV I have not to date had 1 ich problem......
