I have had 6 urchins for over a year now. 3 long spine and 3 pencil. Live aquaria says long spine are reef safe and they've been in my 90 the whole time while the pencil have been in my sump and done fine. Does anyone know why pencil arent reef safe? I assume they will knock over rocks but are they known to eat corals?

They eat coral and spomges along with nuisance algae.
