I have an API phosphates test kit, it had a card for fresh and salt water tests. When ever I test the color never changes stay a pale yellow, which is the 0 mark on the freshwater card. The 0 on the salt card is a pale green color. Is the kit borked or are phospates testing 0?

IMO Phosphate test kits are a total waste of money unless you are trying to figure out why your coral died or your tank is a festering algae pit. The test kits just aren't sensitive enough. You probably have some phosphates but not enough to show up on the test.

I was having trouble with a green slime for quite a while, then here a couple weeks ago i did 2 of my normal water changes on back to back days, and seems to have really knocked it back. But it's still growing on the sand just not a rapidly as before.
