I'd like to hear from from more people using Android. I tested the current setup on my daughters Android via App 2 and I'm able to view the posts with no problem. However, I've heard this same issue from 2 android users, so I believe there is an issue somewhere.


It's a strange problem. I need to have more data so I can see if there is a pattern.

Orrrr not. After hitting "submit" I get stuck on a processing screen.

 

Going to try rebooting my phone and try again. It sends the post but then gets stuck on the processing screen with the spinning ring for me. I tried posting on other forums and it works fine.

R I am using android ver 4.0.4.. by the way. I will try to reboot also.

 

I have a 9 month old HTC Rezound with Android 4.0.3

What is goofy is that it works everywhere else. I get an error when tried to see my subscribed threads, and when I just view the forums, I see the top sections, sub forums, and basically get down to the message level. It will even say how many posts there were in the topic, but it never displays anything but the subject. No information about the posting person, no message content, etc. Let me know what else would help.

 

Reboot didn't help. After hitting submit it will make the post but gets stuck on the spinning ring screen that says processing.

Yep mine too! Makes post,but don't let me know it posted and just gets stuck on spinning ring..

 

Ok, give it a try now guys. I found a problem and corrected a couple of things that I was doing wrong. It should work better on Android now and the line breaks should display properly on the iOS version again.

Please let me know how it works.

And just to be clear, this is the list of functionality that is currently implemented:

1) View Forums
2) View Topics
3) Post Topic
4) Reply To Topic
5) Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Forum
6) Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Topic

Once I know this core functionality is working properly, I'll get started on implementing some of the other stuff. Start thinking about which features are the most useful and if we get a consensus, I'll try and implement them in that order.

So that was weird after my last reply tapatalk froze and my phone completely locked up and I had to reboot. Haven't had to do that in a very long time.

Wow, I hope JB can identify and fix the issue. I suppose it's good that its coming out now instead of later.

Jeremy, I did notice that my Android client crashed occasionally after posting. It's not consistent though. I'm not convinced it's not just a buggy client, but definitely something we want to figure out. Are there any other forums you can test post to?

I believe that Tapatalk has a test forum where you can make test posts.
