Also just noticed that the American Humane Socitey assited with the show and gave them the seal of approval.

 

Thanks to "Tanked" I had some folks come into AC&C today looking for some fish that "could be in saltwater or freshwater". I knew right away what they were talking about because I saw the show, of course they were looking for Mono Sebae's. Thanks to the show's complete lack of pertinent information, I had to explain to these poor folks why they couldn't put one in with their tetra's in their 20 gallon.

I guess I should just be happy they didn't ask if we carried shark heads with braces.

personally i like the show i think its funny and entertaining.  I love all the people bashing and giving examples of whats wrong with it every week cause that means there watching it so it will never be cancelled   it reminds me of howard stern when he first started over half of his regular audiance hated him and listend to the show so they could complaine about the content    so all you haters keep wacthing so it will never be cancelled  
oh and a lion and a clown can get along just fine as long as the clown doesnt fit in the lions mouth   here are some pics of my 8" lion and my 4" maron clown they have been together in a quarintine tank since springfest and are now in my sump till i transfer over to my big tank  i think the clown is actually hosting in the lions fins he follows the lion where ever it goes




















 

















 

 

Now that is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time Matt

 

I love the huge tanks they build. The novelty ones are kinda dumb but still interesting to see it all come together. I also love the shots from the shop and when they are actually building or moving a tank. And I think the trips to the fish distributor and all the tank and fish shots are super cool, especialy in HD.

That being said I think the characters 'humor' is borderline retarded. When I sense that a 'funny antic' segment is coming up, I forward through until I see some fish or a tank being messed with. (or Agnes, as I find her super hot for some reason)

Brett and Wayne are super annoying. They really rub me the wrong way. I even met Brett at MACNA and found him to be as full of **** in person as on TV. Ha ha jokes but there is some truth to this.

agreed, that is super cool. I wonder what benefit the clown could provide to the lion to make it worth it to have a tag a long following you all day.

 

When I was at macna I got a chance to talk to Brett. I asked him how they did the big tank for the asian family. He said that was done over weeks and they did acclimate those fish properly. He has heard a ton from salt water people about this . He has had arguments with AP over the editing . He says he was trying to get more behind the scenes stuff put in . I think he is getting his way a little bit at a time. Shows this season have shown some acclimation I have heard so it takes getting your foot in the door and changing it from the inside. Yes , right now there are idiots that think you can just throw fish in a tank but because of this but they are trying to change how it is presented. We talked for a little bit off to the side at macna and he really seemed genuine about trying to get the editing done differently. Still I think the show is entertaining, corny at times , laughable at others . But it beats jersey shore in my opinion. LOL
