Does anyone know how to make a tank ground? What are the pros and cons of having one? What are they made with or can you just buy a kit to do it?Thanks!

Just buy a kit for $10 from any shop. If the LFS's don't have them, the online places do.

Pros: You're less likely to die by painful electrocution
Cons: You have to spend $10

    You make the call. /DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

What do you ground it to? What does the kit come with?

The ground probes have a titanium probe on one end and a standard 3 prong plug on the other. You simply plug it in to any grounded outlet.

You'll just have to call around and see who has them in stock...

If the Green Slimer isn't green, what color is it?

If it lost it's color that quickly, then something is probably not right in your tank. You either don't have enough lighting or one or more critical water parameters are out of whack. I'd do some investigation if I was you because Green Slimer should be pretty easy to keep healthy if tank conditions are good.

Really it never turned green after you broke it off. Its kinda of a brown color. Both are actually still a brown color. What do you think would be wrong? What should I check for?

Yeah, I'd get those parameters under controll and work on keeping them stable before I put anything too valuable in that tank.

    I'd shoot for:

    nitrate-0
    sg-1.25
    ph-8.2
    phos-0
    cal.-420
    kh-9
