Is there any sure way to avoid getting Ich with Tangs, I don't have any issues now, however I have the 1 tang (Yellow) but I want to get another Tang for my system.. I have heard mashing Garlic up and mixing with the food, I also having a UV Sterilizer helps.. Looking for some insight from people that have Tangs and successfully do not have issues.. Which ones are most prone to Ich?

We currently have 8 in our large system and have never had ich on any of them. Never had ich period. QT is the best bet. We make our own food and every batch has garlic in it. Does it help? I don't know for sure but it doesn't seem to hurt. Make sure to feed plenty of algae. We probably for through 3 to 4 full sheets per day.

We also have 2 in another system and they have always been clean also. They get the same food.

I believe the key to keeping them is a mixture of getting healthy fish to begin with and feeding them well.

We have never ran a sterilizer on any system but do make sure you have plenty of water flow. They need a lot of oxygen.
