Sumps & Skimmers

    My tank is not reef ready, and I will be getting a RR 90 within the next few weeks.. I have 2 questions to ask the group:
    1)How large of sump should I run?
    2) How big of skimmer should I use?
    Any favored brands of skimmers out there let me know, I have been looking at those lately...

    I was told for a skimmer go at least double ur tank capacity so it really depends on ur sump u run I have a 90 gallon tank and I made a 20 gallon tank into a sump seems to work good a little nosy but I will fix that with a sponge

    iam using a 30 long with my 90, and the only problem i have is it seems to be a little too big, does not leave much room in the cabinet and i have a hard time getting the collection cup out.

    if it was me i would go as big as you can on everything /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif
