I always thought that Starry Blennys ate algae.  Mine seems to be a little confused. He has developed a taste for Rod's food, dried brine shrimp, crab pellets, just about anything you throw in the tank, he will eat.  On a rare occasion you will see him going at the glass or a rock for algae.  I had plans for him helping out with algae control, unfortunately he has other plans!

Mine never eats algae, he's a total horse. They're rumored to eat algae, and most of the time they're difficult to keep because they won't eat anything really, but the good ones will eat just a bout anything. I've had mine for about 4 years and he's a good 5" long! They're characters, you'll enjoy him. Tangs are a better bio control for algae, urchins too. Ever thought about bio pellets? Good luck I've gotta clean 120, and a 40 on the same system that's furry with bryopsis that just won't stop, I'm making the move to biopellets.
