Got a softie tank cycling now. Coral life 29 bio cube. Going to be very simple.
    Light- Maxspect Razor
    Return - Stock pump
    Power heads- WP10
    Skimmer- undecided
    Heater- Finnex 150w
Live rock and sand. Going to try not to run gfo or carbon. Hopefully weekly water changes will do it.

It's going to be a quick cycle. All rock came from my Sps system. I had some extra in my sump.

Nice, I have thought about doing a softie tank myself.

With softies and a light bioload have you considered going skimmerless?

We had softies/LPS in our nano for about 18 months when we moved with no water quality issues and no skimmer. In fact, some of our LPS thrived better in that little tank than ever before.

I have considered it. Probably going without for a while and see what happens. I want to keep it pretty simple. If I can go skimmer less that's a plus.

I second Dave's idea. No skimmer, with no skimmer you could venture and do NPS soft corals and try you hand with that.
