I just thought I'd pass this on, a few months back I needed a new Calcium test kit, and when it came the spoon had changed from the blue one to a much smaller red one, it's about 1/3 the capacity of the old spoon.
Well I bought a new Alkalinity and Nitrate kit recently from BRS and those have changed too!
The new Nitrate kit has a liquid #1 reagent and a powdered #2, and the smaller red spoon.  This is nice because before I was using 2 spoons to avoid cross-contamination of the reagents.
The new Alk kit has been adjusted to account for some kind of reagent anomaly I guess, and instead of 2 drops of the dye you now add 4 drops.  Also the instructions say that due to the anomaly correction, the kit may read a dKH of 0.3 less than the previous kit.  The color change is more dramatic (I guess, I didn't notice) and the kit is more accurate, apparently.
I didn't get a chance to talk to the dude at the MACNA booth, but it looks like Salifert has been taking a few steps to improve their products.  As if they needed it, but good for them.  Best bang for the buck for test kits IMO, and highly accurate.
I don't know if they have revamped the Mg test kit, but I've got a ways to go on that one before I need to buy another.
...and I think it'll be quite a while before I'll need a new Iodide/Iodine kit or Strontium kit.
