RO Units

bulk reef supply, buckeye field supply, and air water and ice are good places to get RO/DI units... as for how many stages it depends on your water. im going with a 6 stage from BRS it has 2 DI chambers, but my water here is about 400 TDS

 

I would personally recommend against air water and ice - their customer service is horrible and the unit they sold me, which was marketed for reef aquariums, let through so much chlorine I lost a majority of my corals. When confronted with this they could have cared less.

 

Bulkreef is the best in my opinion i have never had a problem with them

 

I'm surprised to hear that about Air, Water, and Ice. Got my 5 stage RO/DI unit from them about a year and a half ago and it's worked great. Had zero TDS after the first flush and it's still there today. My tank water also stabilized because all the nitrates, etc. are being removed.

 

iam actually having some difficulty with my RO unit from air water ice, seems my TDS are up in the 200's and it is almost new.

 

Just spoke with Air water and ice about my ro unit and they are sending me replacement filters for free

 

The filter guys have always been good to me as far as customer service and providing a quality product. I just bought my second 5 stage RO-DI from them.

I've owed a Typhoon III from Air Water Ice since 2005 which I not only use for my reef, I also use if for ice cubes and drinking water so it gets TONS of use. I have only changed the membrane once and the only problem with it i have ever had was a leaky connection in between one of the canisters which was my fault for over tightening it. I called them and told them what had happened and I had a new part within a couple days.


How can you beat a lifetime warranty on parts???
