Richs DIY Skimmer

    Its time for another DIY post By yours Truly.
    This time its Saltwaternewbees skimmer build. It is modeled after a MRC 4 But I am making it a Recirculating Beckett.

    Look forward to seeing the finished product. I made a 6" pvc skimmer and it's surprising how much it skims for such a jalopy. I encourage anyone with an inclination to try a diy skimmer. Where did you pick up the acrylic?

    Nice after I get some T5 on the tank I'm going to look in to DIY skimmer!

    Just in time...cuz the coralife is down and out for the time being!!!! With any luck Nick will come thru again for me with the needed parts til this ones done.

    thats pretty cool, but where can you get acrylic cylinders from?

    Pretty much any place that carries acrylic. I think B-Rad orders his from McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#acrylic

    This is true...i've been fighting with USPS for the damage done by them on the pump.
