Plumbing is done! Have it filled with fresh water right now to test for leaks and make sure everything's working the way it should. I'll be moving it to its final location and filling it with saltwater today!

Lookin great Danb. What is the second pump in the sump for? Does that overflow box use the uni-seal style connections?

    That gate valve is awesome!

Thanks Quam. The second pump is for the DSB/refugium and those are uni-seals.

I now have the tank in place and working on filling it with water should be able to have everything up and running tonight

Its really starting to come together! The sump turned out really cool with the refugium being so open and viewable. Im so used to sumps running left to right, neat to see a different configuration.

Set up looks great Danb. Couple questions, Which overflow box kit are you using? Also how high do you have your light mounted from the water level? I have similar lights to yours and was curious. Any critters in the fuge yet?

Keep up the pics, excited to see stocking!

Hey Quam, I'm using a Modular Marine 1200gph low profile overflow. The light(thanks for the light by the way) is hung at about 10" above the water to try and cover the whole tank until I can get a second light. As for critters I just picked up some sand from Hajas that came with all kinds of small life, Lots of various worms and snails. Now I'm just letting the tank mature for awhile and let everything in there become established.

Well I've had everything running for a couple of weeks now and just yesterday started seeing this algae showing up. Can anyone ID this and is it something I should be concerned about?

Are you running GFO? That should help with the algae. I have also turned lights off for a few days when setting up new tanks and algae starts.

I'm not running GFO, but I do have a nice clump of Chaeto growing in my sump and doing regular water changes while my tank is cycling. I'm more worried about what type of algae I have in my DT. It's not one that I recognize.
