    Hello all,

I need a light for a refugium w/ Chaeto that I am setting up. I was thinking about a clamp on reflector light. Is that a good choice and what sort of bulb, hopefully hardware store variety low wattage, could be used?

    Thank you

Yes a lot of people go that route and it works well for them.

The route used in the link below might help you avoid heat and salt creep issues better than the typical kind I think you are thinking of. Also gives some insight into kelvin performance.
