Reef Octopus SRO FTW!

    Just a little over one week skimmate collection. Tonight I took the entire thing apart and cleaned the pump, body and impellar too. No telling what the next week of skimmate will hold! These Reef Octopus skimmers are insane!

    yeah I loved the RO NW-150 when I had it on one tank. It was a champ. shouldn't have sold it.

    which model do you have?
    I love mine, I think its just a little oversized for my bioload right now. Time to add a herd of fish and try to catch up to Elliot LOL.

    Yah Bud I had a needle wheel reef octopus before and it kicked *** too! But it was appropriately sized for my tank (can't help but to gravitate towards excess) so I got the Reef Octopus SRO 3000 SSS (super space saver) rated for around 300gallons. I'm at around 200 total system volume and I have a HEAVY load of corals, so it's probably just about right. I need more fish tho!

    Yep I love my sro xp-5000 external with a avast swabie neck cleaner and Davey Jones locker. but I have out grown it. I was going to buy the XP-8000 external but I got a good deal on a four foot volcano skimmer. so I will be selling my xp-5000 and accessories soon

    Did you get that skimmer from Big D? I saw that thing in action and it is truly an impressive beast of a skimmer.

    No its a smaller version then JJ'S his was 6' this one is 4'
