I've been out for a while.   No internet access...hell I don't even have a kitchen right now.   I just bought a house and remodeling/gutted everything.
The tank is set up and running at the Library.   It's been set up for about a month now and almost my whole stock is currently residing in it.   Right now it's going through the green algae phase of cycling, but everything is looking pretty good.
The library recently had a Mt. Olympus party where I got to be Poiseden(sp) and we had tons of kids and parents go through and view the tank.   There was some interest, but of course the kids love the "nemo" fish.   Even had a mention in the Muscatine Journal about it.
I haven't read any posts besides the main page, so I have no clue what's going on, but I can start setting up flyers about meetings/swaps coming up on the tank.

Welcome back Andrew! :) So you planning to ramp your tank back up again or keeping it simple for now?

I won't be fully back for a long time yet. But when I do, I promise it will be in full force. I knew I was going to buy a house for a while and stocking up on supplies for when the time came.

I have a lot of wood to strip and restain. French doors, pilliars, ornate stair case and many door ways and trim work. That's the easy part. I'm gutting two bathrooms, kitchen, mudroom and updating as much as the knob and tube wiring as possible. Knocking down a wall between the kitchen and dinning room and did I mention I removed all the plumbing too? It was all rusted, practically shut, so I'm going to run PEX. It had a steam boiler that wasn't winterized and 3 of the 10 radiators were cracked and who knows about the pipping, so a whole new forced air furnice will go in the basement and attic.

So once its livable I'm working on the basement. Already planning running the water lines in the basement through filters and to an RO system and use the basement drain for the system.

I'm taking a lot of ideas from veiwing a lot of people's systems and reading a lot and I came up with something not totally unique, but not seen often. Half my basement will be a rec room. The only thing that that limits me is how big I want the third bathroom and laundry room in with the fish room. I have an open canvass of room to work with.

The business that's putting in the forced air furnaces are dragging their feet, so before I want to start running new plumbing I want to see where they run all the duct work. So putting everything back together is taking way longer than it should.

When I tore up the kitchen floor I had 5 layers of flooring with a subfloor in the middle before I got down to the original wood floors. Of course everything is taking longer than I had expected.

I'm juggling that with kids, work and the library tank. I haven't had much leisure time let alone sleep lately.
