Originally I had planned on keeping my DT upstairs & biulding a 75 Gallon Sump in the basement and for that application I was planning on using a Reeflo Blackfin pump.
However my direction has changed, I wil still have the sump in the basement, I will be upgrading to a 180 and that will be in the basement also about 8-10 ' from the sump....
My concern is with this project is do I have too much pump for way it will be set up & should I be looking for a smaller pump, if so what is best for this?

If I were you, I would still use it.  You can throttle it back and it will use less electricity.  Plus, it gives you capacity to add a frag tank or reactors using the same pump.
    Just my two cents.

I would rather do that, as I already made the investment, I can see with the way it will be set up, I will be overflowing back into the sump a lot..

    Thanks
