   Can this be used in a reef tank? There is alot of mixed reviews out there on this. It doesn't dissolve. I use to use it for freshwater tanks and never had problems.

   What type of filter tho? A fluidized sand filter, or a deep sand filter? What type of material is the pool sand? arragonite? silicate?

   pool sand is typically silicate sand. Not usually recommended for our reefs.
