    Is that plywood with a laminate coating? What is that seam crossing the bottom and back? What thickness of acrylic and how did you bond it to the front?

    Oh wait I see now, you laminated white acrylic over the plywood, and those strips cover the seams between the pieces. So did you use white silicone on the corner seams? Did you bond the acrylic sheets together at the joints before that?

    I would think that your plywood would need to be double-thick on a tank that size, but then again I've never built a plywood tank before

    3/4 plywood frame 1/8 acrylic sheet lining yes that is a seem #3 weldon and some thicker glue from regal plastics the 1/2 sheet is from regal plastics. preping a smaller hybrid frag tank build for underneath around 200 gallon

    this was my first also. there is a 1 inch overlap of the 1/8 to the 1/2. the plywood has not budged . i used garfs calculator to do the build

    have you filled this yet?? I knew someone else had built something similar which had problems with durability over the long term.

    yeah its filled and running, have not had any issues yet its got sand, rock and water in it been running a week so far
