How many have plumbed from main floor to a basement to run a sump? Id a stock tank in the basement a good choice?

180 upstairs plumbed to 2 40 breeders and 75g sump downstairs. If you can do it i think its worth it. I dont miss the days of cramming everything under the stand.

I would if I could. I think a stock tank would be a good choice.

280 display and 135 basement sump. Definitely worth it but (for us anyway) takes a pretty beefy return pump and there are not a lot of choices in the high pressure pumps (22' head for our system). Would definitely do it again.

A stock tank would be fine but I think they are harder to partition off if you want to (I know some don't). We bought a tank off craigslist and got glass cut at a local glass shop and just made our own.

75G or Larger would be a good tank for that..
