    I noticed a few things in the PMs, one I forgot to mention before, and now a new one:

    1) you cannot delete PMs, you can only "archive" them? I occasionally like to "clean out" my PMs

    2) When you send a PM response to someone, it bumps up to the top of your inbox list as sent from you, to you. You have to click the PM to see who the exchange is between. i don't know if this can be modded somehow, but I would prefer to always see who the message thread was being exchanged between on the front page of the PM inbox. Actually you would not need the "sent" tab if this was the case, because all exchanges would be threaded. Just a thought. Probably not possible but worth mentioning.

    1) Archive is essentially the same thing as delete. If someone else replies to an older PM thread (and multiple people can be involved in PM's) the entire conversation thread will always be available for review. If records were hard deleted, it couldn't work this way.


    2) I know exactly what you mean and I agree totally. In fact, this was the first issue that I reported when I started working on this upgrade. Hopefully the will improve that in a future release because right now it's just dumb the way they have it working.

    Ahhh, so before when I would delete a message, and the other person responded to it and the entire thread was still there - I didn't actually delete anything, I just archived it and it "hid" that from me? Interesting...

    Thanks for the confirmation that you're on it.

    JB how long will the old PMs be available?

    I went to look at the Mark Vera Video and it brought me to the "join GIRS" page, then I checked the sponsor page and I'm not listed there - and neither is MJB tanks. whaddup!

    Old PM's will be available at least until I upgrade us to DotNetNuke 7.0 (Just waiting for forum compatibility). Probably at least a month or two. I'll give everyone fair warning before I remove them for good.

    You should be able to view the speakers now. It was just missing the permission setting for sponsors.

    As for the sponsors list. I don't actually manage that. Usually on of the BoD does because they keep track of when sponsorships expire, etc. Have you provided a banner for the list? If not, that's probably why you're not in it yet.

    What does this mean JB? I think there is a issue with the Reefer Q & A deal.

    You have to participate more in the Reefer Q&A to gain more privileges.

    All I did was click ask Ask a Question tab/Button. I have been one of very few that have been participating in the Reefer Q&A. Its saying new user status.

    its in the ruleset the QA section.

    What can new users not do?

    In addition to any higher level privilegs, new users cannot:

    Cannot post multiple questions or answers within a small time frame
    Cannot edit their own posts
    Cannot comment on their own posts
    Cannot edit tag descriptions
    Cannot answer their own questions

    Basically its saying you have not gained enough privilege to do what ever action you were attempting

    Looks like you can add to that list you "Cannot Answer a question then post a Question with in a small time frame". All I can think is I just Answered a question and was going to ask a Question. I was able to get it to work after waiting a few more minutes, but found my answer already.


    Thanks for your info,but it didn't seem to really make since at the time. I was only trying to post a question and its telling me I need privileges so thought something was wrong.

    Hey JB,

    I was wondering if there was a way to put paragraph breaks (returns) into PMs. Unfortunately, when I try to format a PM and then I send it, all the enters (returns) dont show up and I get one really long paragraph that can be hard to read. Is there any way of correcting that?

    For some reason, I am not getting PM emails any longer. I was yesterday but no longer today. The forum emails are working just not the PM emails.
