I had made a post in this thread and in retrospec decided to remove my post.  In doing so I deleted the entire thread.  I apologise for this and hope you believe i had no intentions of this happening, I have  no idea how it happend or what I did to cause it.  I just wanted to own up to it rather then there be speculation as to what happened

To be completely honest I personally didn't much care for the extreme tangent the thread took...

For some reason if I edit the post the pics get screwy. Anyway, that is supposed to be the pics of the actual stock of fish for sale.

Platinums are sweet, but I have an existing ocellaris and I've been interested in finding Wyoming Whites (ocellaris) myself. Did the OP have a lead on some platinums? I wonder where from?

beauty is  in the eye of the beholder.  As far as how much, I have seen them on DD for 450 a pair. So if your getting them for $115, thats not a bad deal at all.

Beware also, ORA has a grading system for their designer clowns, at least with their picassos they do. Regulars, grade b, and grade a. The difference between grades is established by ORA, I don't know what their grading criteria. At that price you might not be getting the highest grade, but really who cares, they're still cool looking!

I totally agree. I think genetic engineering is great, but sometimes it can ruin a good thing. Percs don't need any help...they are awesome in their natural state. Hybrids and selective breeding can produce the full spectrum ...from beautiful to awful. But...someone said it best when they said 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'...if you like'em, buy 'em.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is definitely right I always say, "to each his own". Personally I would never find these fish desirable, but it is kind of amazing to see the wide variety of clowns being offered. However, I still always find ocellaris to be the most attractive clowns, but if these are your thing I hope you are successful with them.
