I need a new cell phone and want to get one that is compatible with the Apex for sending alerts/texts. What phones are compatible? The simpler the phone, the better for me as I'm not real good with all this new technology/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/confused.gif Thanks for the help/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Any smart phone. The service at GMX.com is how I set up the email alerts. And GMX is free and its what the setup dhows you to use when creating your email alerts. I created an account at GMX and then used that to text and send alerts to my main email account and phone. So really any phone that gets text should work. If you get a smart phone you can run the Apex app and control your Apex from any where. If you are new to smart phones I would suggest iPhone, but I like Motorola razers too and they run on Android. There are many Android ran phones on market. I phones seem to be the simplest for newbies.
    Hope this helps

I might add that when you set up your GMX account you plug that in where it is in the email setup on your Apex. You then and your primary email and a cell number for Text alerts.

Yes. Android is open source so its not as smooth as iPhone, but many more options and stuff. IPhone is smooth and easy to learn.

Wow Kyle :0) You're all set with everything :0) I spent 1 1/2 hours in US Cellular today trying to get my phone sent in and a loaner. Didn't happen /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif They just opened today from a remodel and getting a new "system". Of course, the new computer system has "bugs"! What a pain! Anyway, I hope to get a new phone in the next 2-3 months when they come out with new phones (to include IPhones) and plans :0) I'll probably need your help at that time :0) In the meanwhile, I'll check out GMX :0) Thanks again Kyle!
