   I've noticed what looks like one is holding in its mouth. Is this common in the home tank? Will they make it in there?

   My bangi would hold pretty frequently. They always got eaten in about a millisecond of being released

   Absolutely Zero chance of them living in the main display, if you can transfer the male to your refugium or another tank prior to him releasing the babies, they have good chances of survival and are relatively easy to raise.
