I am starting to plumb my tank and I think i ran into a problem.
The over flow tube comes down from my standpipe and into my sock, but it has to go back up and then down, kinda like a rollercoaster   Will this be a problem?

basically the overflow tube, the grey tube that looks kinda like a vacuum hose, is too long.

As long as there is no point in the pipe higher than the inlet, you will have no issues, but you may have a reduced flow rate.

Thats what I was going to say. Is there a reason you can't just cut the extra length off?
