Got the uv sterilizer, Reactors, and dosing pumps mounted within the stand. Now time to start putting everything together, wish me luck :) top left are the Reactors, top right is the uv sterilizer. And the dosing pumps on the bottom left compliments of Fall Fest (which was a great time, thank you). What do you think of the soft tubing for the intake in terms of noise?

Nice clean layout, will make it easy to maintain with the good access and lighting. I used under cabinet fluorescent fixtures, I wish I would have used the LEDs like you did. You might have to take the loop and sag out of the drain lines and make a continuous downhill run with them to avoid "flushing".

Thank you for the compliments people! It took me twice as long to hang those lights than it did to mount all of the equipment lol

What do you mean by the soft tubing?

The tubing from the bulkheads on top to the sump. Should I ditch them and go all hard plumbing for noise reduction or keep them to see how much noise they create?

Personally I only run hard plumbing. Its a lot cleaner and looks nicer especially when you go with a colored pvc. Tubing can degrade over time and is a pain in the *** to work with when pulling the sump. I would say hard plumbing and unions on everything so its easy to remove.

If you're hearing a water noise then you're hearing the water falling into a filter sock from the drain on the tank. If thats the case cut a pvc pipe just long enough so it reaches the water level. Take that piece and pressure fit it in the bulkhead to make it silent.

Here is an example of colored pvc:

I have the eshopps r-200 3rd gen, it did come with pvc that goes down pretty low into the first chamber from the bulkheads. That hard plumbing does look good

What kind of pump are you using and how big is the tank? You can hard plumb the returns as well. You will just have to use Ts to feed the other equipment with ball valves.

Gonna run the m1. I ordered all of the valves and fittings for the return to be hard plumbed but I heard that hard plumbing makes more noise in the intake tubes so I wanted to see what everyone's opinion was on it. I'm leaning towards hard plumbing for the intake but I already have these tubes so idk

I don't have any problems with vinyl tubing. I have 1 system all vinyl and 1 system pvc. I don't have problems with either.
But my sumps areas are not for show. They are there to do a job.

If I had a purty custom tank I would do the colored pvc to make it look nice and clean.

I use a mixture of hard PVC and flexible PVC. That way it all glues up using the same fittings.
Drains are hard PVC and the returns have flexible PVC before and after the external return pump then convert to hard PVC. Plus the unions to disconnect the plumbing, and good quality true union ball valves before and after the pump. I don't have any noise from that part of the plumbing at all.
