Just noticed them are the a type of copepod? Also I know scooter blennies will eat them but what else will? Will they harm corals?

Do you have a picture? ...never heard of black pods. However, if your scooter blenny is eating them, then wrasses will also - 6-line, leopard, etc. or possibly a mandarin.

Could they be flat worms? ...or are the black bugs smaller than that?

There are over 10,000 kinds of copepods in the oceans, and that is the main diet for most fish.

If they are truly Black then Not sure, but often the "Red bug" Acro Flea is called a black bug and you don't want them. They look like little fleas running around on your coral. They attach Acro mostly and your relatively safe if you don't have any. normally they are far from looking Black, but are hardly visible to the eye. Here are some pictures.

Here is some info on what the worst case they could be. Like I said you don't want them.

Hope you don't have what these are, because early on I had these on a Acro I got from someone and I just ended up throwing the coral out. I never seem them again and it was a Tricolor Acro.

Very very small and were crawling on my rock where a new sanil had cleaned it. I looked last night and it might be a red bug. I currently don't have a scooter seems like they only live a year in my tank and die. I will prob get a couple. My six line is really fat.

I hope they are not Red bugs. Very little kills them!
