No power

Like the title says I'm going to b without power for like five or 6 hours next week just received a letter from the power company saying that it will b down due to some service , any recommendations on how to get by or will it b ok ,,, I have a 125 and it's stocked with fish and coral,

 

Rent a generator for a day, only run what you need such as water movement, lights, ect...

 

A to Z Rental is about $30-50 for the day of rental. I have rented from them before.

 

I don't think I even need lights for that amount of time I'm worried about heat and water flow , but I think u may have helped me out now I just need to see who rents one ,

It's also a great investment to own one for future power outings because we don't usually get a heads up of when the power will be out(storms,etc). It's the next piece of equipment on my list of needs. About 300 bucks will get you a nice sized generator that will handle all of your tank and then some and when you think of the hundreds if not thousands of dollars we have in our tanks that's a small price to pay for a piece mind.

 

I have a large computer battery back up unit for my return pump and heaters. Last test I was able to run them for 12 hours before I got a low battery alert.
