I have pods coming in tonight and brineshrimp direct didn't ship my nano or the selco I ordered from them yet (delayed order... ) , and it wont be arriving until wed. now! This is a pod culture I intended on starting my own cuture stock, so unfortunately I can't just stick them in the tank and let them forage there...

    1. Will the pod culture last from tonight (friday) until wed. without anything to eat?

    2. Can I substitue anything? I have spiralina powder, I am sure I have yeast too but I use that for my brine shrimp feedings...and was under the impression pods required elsewise.

    3. Coming to Des moines tonight, do any of the petstores down there carry nannochloropsis paste, or have a starter culture of the algae at all that I can blend my own mix to tide them over with until wed.

Any suggustions would be helpful! Thanks!

If you are going to a store, just get some phytoplankton. Most stores carry at least something. It doesn't have to be alive.

Copepods can go a looong time without food. Relax, it will be ok. Spirulina would Probably work in a pinch.
