i am in the process of taking down my freshwater setup so i can start building a saltwater tank in a 55 gallon

i am in need of live sand/rock. but may be fine with dead for right price.

    Protein skimmer

    2 powerheads

    salt

    Lighting system

again this saltwater is new to me so whatever else you have that i may need to start let me know. you can post on here or text me at 319-981-5933. that would be easier

    Thanks!

before you get into saltwater you should look at prices of stuff ..there is nothing cheap about this hobby thats for sure....

Big D makes a point, even used isn't all that cheap... People aren't too keen on departing with things for TOO cheap..

Sometimes items that are cheap are just that. research particular items first before buying instead of buying cheap and having to buy same equipment over again because it didnt perform as expected.Sometimes it is better to buy someones complete setup that they are either upgrading or taking a break from hobby. There always seem to be someone who is doing one or the other.

I have an Eshopps psk 75 skimmer and an Eshopps wd-75 cs sump. Both gently used, I just wanted a bigger sump and skimmer because if the size of my bioload. The only thing missing are the bioballs and the line that'll run from the overflow box to the sump.

Oh, and soon I'll have an Aquaticlife t5 dual bulb fixture for sale. 48" long, it's a good light and will keep soft corals alive. Only been used for 7 months.

You will be fine just remember its not like freshwater. It takes time and make sure you dont add too much too fast.

what area are you in b7racer? If you're in the IC/CR area I am the area trustee and we've got a great group of guys here in IC that can help out for sure too! If you want to stop by and talk reef sometime let me know. I've got a bone pile we can dig through, I'm sure Kyle Potter (kpotter) and Erayk1 (elliot kelley) does too. let me know what else you're looking for!
