Really digging my new starfish I got from AC&C today.  A maroon linkia (I'm sure it's probably classified as a red, but has a very deep color) with 7 legs.  Kind of fun and unusual.  It looks like it has blue spots on it, but in my tank, it's just a different shade of maroon.  And my yellow tang decided to make a cameo appearance...Thanks for getting such cool stuff in Craig!

It's very unique, and a really beautiful color. The picture really doesn't do it justice!

    That looks pretty cool.
I was going to stop in there on my way back home today and look for a new addition, but they weren't opened yet. I was kind of disappointed. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif

That is a nice looking starfish. If the pictures don't do it justice that thing must look awesome in person!!!!!!

Very nice! I wish I could keep them but I have a harlequin shrimp in my tank right now to clean up the asterina stars.

ughhhh, um that thing reminds me too much of a crown of thorns! lol I know it's not even close, but for some reason it triggers that in my brain.

Very cool. I know the blue linkias are supposed to be hard to keep. What do they have to say about that one? i dig the 7 legs

We bought it as a burgundy linkia if that helps you find more info on it AJ. We had it for more than an month and it cruises around pretty fast. I fed it by getting a small sheet of algae and set the starfish on top of it.

Very nice pickup AJ. Nice timing on picking it up to; there is probably 3 dozen members that would have snapped up a sweet looking star like that in a heartbeat! Makes me want to visit Craig's store that much more, but timing is not on my side for awhile...

I regretted not picking it up after I left a week before, so I was pretty happy when I got there on Sat and it was still there.  I have a large blue linkia in my tank now that I've had for going on a year now.  For the first 6 months or so, it hid all day long and only came out at night, but over time, it's started wandering out during the daytime hours and I see it much more often now.  My blue linkia has done great without any kind of special care, so I think my tank is mature enough to sustain them without any kind of special target feeding, but thanks for the tip.
