Pretty excited about some new fish I added to my tank...so please indulge me while I share. :)
My wife surprised me with a new 5" Powder Blue Tang.  I had one just like it a few months ago just like it...but it died while we were away from home over the Thanksgiving holiday.  It was my favorite fish, so I'm pretty happy about getting this new fish added to my tank.  We picked it up tonight from Craig's store.
Then to combat my Red Planaria problem, I picked up a melanurus wrasse from Iowa Pet Foods and Seascapes when I was in Des Moines over the weekend.  Let's hope it helps.
And finally, I added a small copperband butterfly.  It's not to battle aiptasia, in fact, I made sure it ate frozen before buying it.  It's just to add a little visual interest to the tank.
Anyway, I look forward to getting a few pics of the new fish soon.

Congrats AJ, Hope they all do fine for ya. I to love the powder blues, but my Flame tail tang is way to aggressive to try and put in another tang!

    Congrats!
I had a Powder Blue that I sold to Adam to get a Purple Tang.
My wife knows why I like the Purple - but the Powder Blue is a more "striking" fish with its color contrast!

are you worried about the copperband nipping at coral?

Craig has had the fish in his store for the last 4 weeks and or so and it's been eating good and no ich...so I'm pretty confident about it's health. His colors looked OK in the store, but look really good under better lights. I'm sure it'll color up even more in a more permanent setting.
The tangs in my tank have done well in dealing with ich...not sure if it's the environment, the food or if I've just been lucky, but so far, things have been good.
Hey Eric, I have a powder blue and a purple in the same tank...had them together for about a year until it died over Thanksgiving. I'm hoping this powder blue gets along with the purple as well as the other one did. The powder blue is the biggest fish in the tank, so I supposed that size helps make up for some of the aggression factor with the purple.
Hey Rick, what does the flame tail tang look like? I don't think I've seen one of those before...but you seem to keep more of the uncommon fish, which is one thing that makes your tank unique. If you can send a link to a pic, that would be great.
Not really worried about the copperband nipping at the corals...but as with all butterflies and angels...just gotta keep an eye on 'em.   Some are OK and others aren't...and I've seen plenty of copperbands in reef tanks.
    Thanks everyone! :)

I had a Powder Blue in my Fowlr tank and after a yr or so when he became the biggest fish in there, he became extremely aggressive. Hope he works out for you. I think it is one of the prettiest tangs out there.
