Need to "Acclimate" a tank to new lighting?

    Is there a need to "Acclimate" a tank to new lighting?  I am going from 2X130 PC to 8X54 T5...  any thoughts on this?

    drop the lighting schedule down to like 4 hours daily and increse slowly over a month or more

    Some people use layers of screen cloth and remove them over a couple weeks.
